Taime (tie-meh), which means time in Cook Islands Māori, is a word that resonates with people who are living with cancer or have survived it. My husband David and I know this feeling well. We are both cancer survivors and we founded Taime Pasifika Cancer Support because of our lived experience. Along with our two children, we founded Taime to empower and uplift the Pasifika cancer community. At Taime, we work alongside Pasifika individuals living with cancer, helping them access the free support they may not have been aware of.
Our service provides awareness, support and connection to agencies and programmes that meet the immediate needs of these Pasifika families.
